Is it just us or is pregnancy overly romanticized? They tell us our skin will be glowing, smiles will be shining, and our auras will be so blissful and pleasant... like nothing we've ever experienced before. Yeah, right.
Ask any pregnant person and/or anyone whose ever given birth and they'll tell you that it's nowhere near as picture-perfect as they made it out to be. Instead of blissful auras, we have morning sickness (which, by the way, is not limited to mornings), swollen feet, and a constant feeling of being uncomfortable in our own bodies. That's why it's important to go through this process with a real-life partner who will support you not only physically but emotionally too.
